Experiencing the Glory of God 1

It’s Always Present & Available

by Pastor John Hamel

“Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.  Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.

"And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles.  Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.  Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.

"And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.  Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.  Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.  And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.” (Ezekiel 47:1-9)

You Can Easily Experience the Glory

The flowing waters here symbolize the flowing of the Holy Spirit.  In the Scripture, water frequently symbolizes the Holy Spirit.  Flowing water or moving water frequently symbolizes the moving of the Holy Spirit.

Here an Angel came and took Ezekiel deep into the moving of the Spirit of God.  First to his ankles, then to his knees, then to his waist.  Finally, Ezekiel ends up swimming in the move of the Spirit.  You, too, can swim in the move of the Spirit.  You, too, can swim in the Glory of God as it manifests in your presence.

From this point on, when I refer to the “Glory,” I’m referring to the moving of the Spirit of God, which is presently in the Earth and on the increase.  We are in a time of glorious fulfillment and increase.  Make a decision to hook up with it and watch what God does in your life.

The Glory Is Present Now to Meet Your Needs

All that needs to be done is to release faith in that fact and you can receive whatever it is that you need from God.  The Glory is potentially present right now.  By that I mean it is here.  It is where you are.  But it is inert, passive and inactive until someone taps into it with their faith.

”And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.” (Luke 5:17) (Even as it is here today)

It is quite possible there were hundreds of Pharisees and Doctors of Jewish Law present that day.  However, by reading this narrative we discover that the Bible says nothing about any of them being healed.   Why is this?  Probably because they were behaving as they always behaved, arrogantly and without faith.  Imagine, these religious leaders were Jesus’ enemies and the Glory was there to heal any of them who may have been sick!   God is a people lover!   Now, although the Pharisees and Lawyers were too proud to tap into the Glory, there were some there who were just humble and informed enough to receive.

”And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.  And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.  And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.  And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?  But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?  Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?  But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.  And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.  And they were all amazed, and they glorified God, and were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things to day.” (Luke 5:18-26)

God's Glory didn't heal the religious leaders that day.  The Glory was present but the religious leaders were passive.  We have no record that anyone other than the crippled man was healed that day, even though the healing Glory was present.  Why is that?  Simple.  The Glory being present will not always heal you.  You have a part to play, just as the palsied man had a part to play.  He said, "Get me into that room where the Glory is.  I don't want to hear there is no more room.  Take me up on the roof, cut me a hole and just drop me down.  I'll pay for the damage with the offerings I'll take up every time I tell folks how God healed me.  Just get me where the Glory is so I can tap into it with my faith."   Now that is how faith works.  Faith doesn't wait.  Faith acts.

"Faith without corresponding action is dead." (James 2:17, Weymouth)

“So indeed faith, if not works it has, dead is by itself.” (James 2:17, Literal)

The only person who received what they needed from the presence of the Glory that day was the one who put some action to his faith and got up on the roof with his buddies.  When Jesus "saw their faith" or when He saw their corresponding actions of faith, He said, "That's it.  Now receive what you need."

It Is Easy to Believe for the Glory to Help You

Faith will work for anyone.  A friend was working on my vehicle one day.  When he found the problem, he said to me, "This is so easy to fix that even you can do it."   That's like having faith for the Glory.  It is so easy to do that even I can do it.  Faith has to work for whoever will apply it because it is a Spiritual Law.

”Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.”  (Romans 3: 27)

Faith is actually a Spiritual Law, just like gravity is actually a Physical Law.  Everyone who steps off of a rooftop will fall.  Some don’t go up while others go down.  Why is this?  It is because the Law of Gravity is no respecter of persons.   Anyone who applies corresponding actions of faith once they’re in the Glory will receive whatever they are expecting.  Why is this?  It is because the Law of Faith is no respecter of persons.

The Glory of God is like electricity.  It is a living quantity.  It is as real as any other natural or spiritual force.  As a matter of fact, it is the force that is behind all other forces.  It is the Life of God.  It is as scientific as it is Scriptural.  It is a Heavenly materiality that can flow from one person to another.  It can pass into healing cloths, garments and human bodies.  I know of an individual who was set free from mental illness by eating a candy bar that was present when the Glory was in manifestation.  It can and it will pass into you if you will allow it.

"Well, Then, How Do I Do It, Pastor?"

”And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,  When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.  For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.  And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.  And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?  And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?  And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.  But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.  And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.” (Mark 5: 25-33)

Lots of people were touching Jesus that day but they were touching Him with passivity. This woman touched Jesus with expectation and the Glory flowed right into her.  Anything that was not of God was forced out of her and Jesus said she did it with her own faith.  Yes, it was His Glory that she tapped into, but she did it with her faith.  Jesus said so.  She pulled on it deliberately.  Jesus said she did.  You can pull on it, too.  It is a Spiritual Law that is no respecter of persons.

Just ask God to forgive you, right now, and pull on it with your faith.  You will get what this woman got.  You will get what that crippled man got.  You will receive the manifestation of the Father's Glory on your behalf.  It is here just like it was there.  Wherever you are sitting, reading this study, the Glory is present.  Whatever you need is in that Glory.  But it works by faith, your faith, not just mine.

“For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20)

You might be thinking, “Oh, Pastor John, I’m sitting here all alone reading this.  I have no one to agree with me.”  Not so.  The Holy Spirit is ever-present, which means that He is there with you right now.  Ask Him to agree with you for a manifestation of Glory.  Lift your hands and start thanking Him for it and watch what happens.

Dogs bark.  Birds fly.  Fish swim.  Humans breathe.  Believers believe.

If you’ve said, “Jesus, You’re my choice,” then you’re a Believer.

The Glory is always present and you can now believe for it to manifest and to meet your need.

Lift your hands and start thanking the Most High God for a demonstration of His Glory, whatever your need, in Jesus’ Name.

Be blessed ... John and Barbara Hamel
