Experiencing the Glory of God 6

You’ll Find Physical Healing in the Glory

by Pastor John Hamel

“And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.  In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.  And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:” (Revelation 22:1-3)

We are talking about the Glory of God.  If we can find our way into the Glory, which is not all that difficult of a thing to do, we will find everything in life for which we have been looking.  I have been telling you that the number one way to get into the Glory is through worship.  People who worship God experience God’s Glory.

Worship the Healer and Be Healed

If you are sick in your body today, it is God’s will to heal you.  Worship the Healer and you will experience healing.  People who seek healing and do not bother seeking the Healer are going to have a tough time getting healed.

The Scripture we just read reveals that the Tree of Life has leaves that contain healing for the nations.  I believe that there are trees all over Heaven that have leaves of healing.  Eat the leaves and you can’t get sick.  Eat the fruit and you stay healthy and strong.  This supernatural fruit and these supernatural leaves will keep us healthy all through Eternity just by munching on them every day.  How many believe as I do that because it is God’s will for us to be healthy in Heaven, it can only be His will that we be healthy on Earth?  His will never changes because He never changes.  You can get into His Glory through a simple act of worship and that Glory will drive out all sickness, disease, infirmity, malady and affliction.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.  Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;  Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.  There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.  God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.” (Psalm 46:1-5)

There is a river that flows forth from the Throne of God, a river that makes the whole city of Heavenly Jerusalem glad.  Why is that?  I believe it is because when you drink from the river, you cannot get sick anymore.  When you drink from the river, you cannot get depressed anymore.  When you drink from the river, you cannot die anymore.  Is anyone getting the picture here?  In Heaven there is no sickness because sickness is not the will of God.  The only reason it is in the Earth is because Adam let it in through an act of disobedience.  However, Jesus, the Second Adam, came and cleaned that mess up.  Now you do not have to tolerate sickness anymore once you come to understand your authority in Christ.  Get in the Glory through worship and watch what happens to sickness.  I am talking about true worship.  I am talking about stepping deep, deep into Ezekiel’s River to where you are over your head in worship.

Allow God to Meet Your Need

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.  Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever.” (Philippians 4:19-20)

Notice this verse does not say that God shall supply all of your needs, plural.  It says He will supply all your need, singular.  God does not look at our individual needs.  He looks at everything we need as one need.  He does not say, “I’ll meet some of your needs, but I never said I’ll meet all of your needs.”  No, He is the personification of the Perfect Father.  He says, “I’ll supply all your need, whatever it is, according to My riches that are in the Glory of Jesus.  Step into the Glory and let Me supply your need.  Worship Me and watch what happens.  Don’t worship Me for what you can get out of Me.  Worship Me because you love Me and everything you need will issue forth from Me.  It’ll come right out of the river, the River of Glory, Ezekiel’s River.”

Another Look at Ezekiel's Glory River

“Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.  Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side."

"And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ancles.  Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.  Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over."

"And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this? Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.  Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.  Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.  And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.” (Ezekiel 47:1-9)

We have looked at this passage multiple times in this series.  We have been calling it Ezekiel’s River.  It is the River of Glory that flows forth from the Throne of God.  This river cannot help but to produce.  Notice the Bible says it is full of a very great multitude of fish.  These fish cannot help but to multiply.  The river is resplendent with abundance.  The River of Glory is so full of life that anything that even comes near it is blessed abundantly.  Get near it through worship.  Get in it through worship.  God wants to perform signs, wonders and miracles for you as you take the time to enter into His Glory through genuine, selfless worship.

“Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwell in mount Zion.” (Isaiah 8:18)

Created for Worship that Brings Miracles

Well, will you look at that?  The Bible says that you were created for signs, wonders and miracles.  If Israel was, you are.  Everything God promises to Israel, He promises to you as a Believer.  Didn’t He say, “If you are Christ’s you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the same promises that He made to Abraham?”  Sure He did.  In Galatians 3:29.  If Israel was created for signs, wonders and miracles, then you are created for signs, wonders and miracles.  Go with what the Bible says, not with what your head or religion says.  God wants to bless you.  He is calling you into the Glory through worship.

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.  Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.  The beast of the field shall honor me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.” (Isaiah 43:18-21)

Yes, He is talking to Israel here, but yes, He’s also talking to the Believer in Christ.  I just told you.  Everything that He promised to Israel was originally promised to Abraham.  Everything He promised to Abraham is promised to Abraham’s spiritual seed.  You are Abraham’s spiritual seed through Jesus.  That’s what the Bible says in Galatians 3:29.  Therefore, God wants you to forget your ugly past.  Big deal, your past was a flop.  So was mine.  Let it go.  God wants to do a new thing.  He wants to make a way for you in the wilderness.  He wants to give you water in your personal wilderness and rivers in your personal desert.

God Alone Has the Final Word

Do you remember that I told you that water, rivers, moving water and rivers symbolize the moving of the Holy Spirit?  The moving of the Holy Spirit is an expression of the Glory in manifestation.  God wants to do a new thing in your life as you get into the Glory through worship.  He wants to pour out abundance of healing for your sick body.  Worship Him.  He wants to move in your life and fix what the doctor said is unfixable.  The doctor’s word is not the final word.  God’s Word is the final word.

The Bible says that Jesus is the Word made flesh. (John 1:14)  The same Word that became flesh will heal your flesh if you will get into the Glory.  He said if you will worship Him, He will make a way for you where there seems to be no way.  Do you believe Him?  Then open your mouth and worship Him.  Fall on your face and worship Him.  Grab hold of His feet and worship Him.  Seek the Healer through worship and receive your healing.

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the Lord come. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call.” (Joel 2:28-32)

Look at this.  Whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be delivered from sickness, disease, poverty and eternal death.  Christ has redeemed you from the curse of the law, having been made a curse for you, for it is written, cursed is everyone who hangs on a torture stake. (Galatians 3:13,14)  This means that Christ bore the penalty for your sins at Calvary’s cross, the torture stake.  Sickness is a penalty for sin.  If He bore your sin, which He did, then He bore the penalty for your sin.  You need not bear what Christ has borne.

Awaken unto righteousness.  God’s not mad.  God’s not guilty.  He is not making you sick.  As a matter of fact, the Bible says that you are not the sick trying to get healed.  The Bible reveals that you are the healed and Satan is trying to make you sick. (Matthew 4:22-24; 8:16-17; 1 Peter 2:24)  Get into the Glory.  Satan cannot go there.  Where he cannot go, there can be no sickness. Satan is the author of sickness.  Jesus came that you might have abundance of life. (John 10:10)  Get into the Glory and leave that sickness at the Glory door.  It cannot enter in.

Jesus Made Himself Perfectly Clear

“And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.” (Luke 4:14-20)

You can believe the eyes of these people were all fastened on Him.  They were shocked.  They were stunned.  This man who grew up in the neighborhood had just stood up and said, in essence, “The Messiah you’ve been looking for, the Savior, Redeemer, Liberator, Deliverer?  You’re looking at Him.  That’s right.  I’m the man you’ve been looking for.  God’s Spirit is upon Me without measure. (John 3:34)  I’m going out that door and I’m going to preach to anyone who will listen.  It wouldn’t be good for you to try and stop me.  When I do so, the poor will have their needs met supernaturally because the Glory will fall.  Broken hearts will be healed because of My anointing. (Isaiah 10:27)  Demons will run screaming like you never before saw or heard.  They aren’t going to like this anymore than some of you."

Jesus continued, "The blind, I’m talking physically blind, will see, even those who were born blind.  The spiritually blind are about to see things in My Father’s Word that they never saw before.  Those who have been bruised and bound by religion and folks like you are about to be healed and set free.  This is the acceptable year of the Lord.  The Father said it’s time, so it’s time.  And by the way, this Book that I am reading from for you today, I wrote it before Abraham was even born.”

Jesus did everything He said, too.  He walked out the door that day and the world has never been the same, neither were those religious deadbeats who tried to kill Him time and time again.  I count no less than five times in the Bible where they tried to kill Him.  However, they couldn’t do it until He said it was time.  When it was time to die for your sickness and your diseases, He laid His life down only to turn around and take it right back up again.

Now, His Spirit is upon me today to tell you that you don’t have to be sick anymore if you don’t want to be.  Get into the Glory.  Worship Him and get into the Glory.  Worship Him like you never worshipped Him before.  Don’t seek healing.  Don’t seek healing.  If you are sick, do not, do not, do not seek healing alone.  Seek the Healer.  Get into His presence through worship.  Sickness is not welcome there.

If you will get into the Glory through worship, you will get such an anointing on you that it will quench that sickness and not allow it to come back to stay.  If it ever does try to show its ugly head again, all you have to do is start worshipping Him again and those demons will tremble and run the other way.  I’m telling you, the devil is nuts and he thinks he’s going to kill you.  But if you will get into the Glory through worship, you will show him to be the fool he really is.
