The Wisdom of Angels
Angels Have Great Knowledge of God's Will

An angel of God once came to me in a dream while I was residing and pastoring in Norman, Oklahoma. He said to me, “You will place your feet on the soil of no less than 35 nations of the world and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”  

Notice, the angel said, “You will place your feet on the soil” of those nations.  Had he not said that to me, I would assume we have already reached those nations because our John Hamel Ministry's website and Online Bible Training Centre has reached over 170 nations of the world.  

But the angel said, “You will place your feet on the soil...” of those nations.

Now how did the angel know that?  He knew that because angels have great knowledge of God.  They have great knowledge of the will of God for someone’s life but only when God imparts that knowledge to them.  They do not know everything.  They are not omniscient.  Only God is omniscient.  But angels do receive information directly from the Seat of all Universal Wisdom, the very Throne of God.  

So, in this lesson we will look at just some of the things that angels know.  

We will study the wisdom of angels.

Angels Have Great Knowledge of the Person of Almighty God

“Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the Lord; I saw the Lord sitting upon His throne, and all the host of heaven standing on His right hand and on His left.” (2 Chronicles 18:18)

This is just one of many passages of Scripture that clearly reveal that the angels of God have direct access to the Presence of God.  

You are what you are by influence, environment and association.  Whoever you run with, you are going to talk like and act like.  If you run with truth-tellers, you will be a truth-teller.  If you run with liars, you will be a liar, too.  If you run with people of integrity, you will imitate that integrity.  If you run with gossips and troublemakers, guess what?  You will be a gossip and a troublemaker because people rub off on you.  You are a product of the people from whom you receive information.  

Angels are the same way.  They act like God and think like God because they run with God and receive their information from God.  Angels have the opportunity to observe God and to be directly influenced by God.  This is an advantage no other created being has, at least not in this way.

I am glad to know that my angels have direct access to the Throne Room as they are out there working for me.  I am not interested in receiving information from some anthropologist who sleeps with gorillas and wants to tell me all about evolution.  Evolution asks more questions that it answers.  If we evolved from fish, how come we still have fish?  If we evolved from monkeys, how come we still have monkeys?  How come all the fish and all the monkeys have not evolved if evolution is evolution?  

Why, if evolution makes everything better, does everything just keep getting worse in the world?  I will tell you why.  Because evolution is a lie.  Charles Darwin knew his theory of evolution was a lie, which is why he repented and made a deathbed confession of Jesus Christ in his final days.

I do not look towards fish or monkeys help or information. I will take my help and information from the angels of God who were there when God created fish, monkeys, gorillas and the entire world they live in.  

God asked Job a very interesting question when he was wrongly blaming God for having made him sick.

“Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. … When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?” (Job 38:4,7)

Here, God told Job that He created the Earth.  He said nothing of a "Big Bang" theory.  God told Job the angels of God witnessed His work of creation, shouting for joy with each and every miracle He performed in the process.  

The angels of God have seen Him do things we have not yet even imagined.  The angels of God have heard Him say things, decreeing and prophesying things that we have not even heard of yet.  The angels of God know things we do not know, and the Messenger angels come and impart that information to us according to the will of God.  

Just like Gabriel came to Daniel, Mary and Zacharias with messages from the Throne Room, God could send a Messenger angel to come and speak with you.  Should He choose to do so, be forewarned.  An angel of God will never speak nor act contrary to what is written in the Word of God.

Angels Have Great Knowledge of World Conditions

“Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation. And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.” (Daniel 9:21-22)  

God’s angel, Gabriel, was well acquainted with Daniel and his relationship with God.  Gabriel even called Daniel by name.  He knew that Daniel had a vision which he did not understand so he came to help Daniel with it. He was able to explain to Daniel what the vision meant and exactly what to expect from it. He imparted to Daniel great skill, understanding and information concerning the vision.  

Gabriel understood Daniel's vision only because the information needed to understand the vision was imparted directly to Gabriel by the Spirit of God. Gabriel is not only an information imparter but, like most other angels, he is an information gatherer.

In the lesson "The Power of Angels" Part One it is revealed that the angels of God ride on horseback as scouts throughout the Earth, checking on world conditions and reporting back to Holy God in Heaven. (Zechariah chapters 1 and 6)  This reveals that angels are not only information imparters but they are also information gatherers.  

The angel in the Book of Revelation showed the Apostle John the unfolding of major, dramatic, almost inconceivable future world events. Some of those events are occurring in the Earth even as you read this lesson.  That angel could only have known these things through a supernatural impartation from God's mind to his mind, from God's Spirit to his spirit.  In the world of computer technology this is called "interfacing."

Angels Have Great Understanding of Human Beings

"Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the Garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So He drove out the man; and He placed at the east of the Garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the Tree of Life." (Genesis 3:23-24)

God knew Adam would naturally try to get back into the Garden of Eden after being cast out for sinning.  Therefore, He called a counsel with certain of His Warrior angels, assigning them to stand guard in all of the entryways into Eden to keep Adam and Eve from reentering.  They understood God's commission and they fulfilled God's commission with great discipline and obedience.  Had they not done so, Adam and/or Eve would have gotten back into the Garden, eaten from the Tree of Life and lived in their fallen condition eternally. 

God did Adam and Eve and all of humanity a tremendous favor by commissioning those angels to prevent a situation from which humanity would never recover.

Angels also knew the men of Sodom were so full of demonic lust that the only way to protect Lot, his family and themselves was to strike the Sodomites with blindness. (Genesis 19:11)  Apparently angels have tremendous understanding of the fallen nature of man and how far he will go in his corruption when he sets his mind to it. Just look at the condition of America in 2013 under its present fallen political and spiritual leadership.

The angel Gabriel knew Zacharias was going to speak against God’s will for the life of John the Baptist so he struck him dumb until John could be born. (Luke 1:19-20)  Apparently angels have great knowledge of the power of words. (Proverbs 18:21; Matthew 12:35-37; Mark 11:23)

The angel Gabriel knew Mary had favor with God and he told her so.  He knew she was afraid of him and told her so. (Luke 1:28,30) 

He also knew that Mary was going to conceive the Savior of the world supernaturally and told her so. 

When Mary questioned how this could possibly happen, the angel knew exactly how it would happen. He told her, "...The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God." (Luke 1:35)

How did Gabriel know such astounding things that were beyond human knowledge?  He knew because the Spirit of God imparted it directly to him during a staff briefing in Heaven.  

The Angel of the Lord had tremendous compassion for Joseph, understanding Joseph's concern that Mary may have been unfaithful to him.  Appearing to Joseph in in a dream, he offered him a vast amount of comfort and information. 

“Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.  And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:19-21)

The Angel of the Lord not only had compassion for Joseph, but also understood that Joseph was an emotional wreck. Mary had come up pregnant and Joseph knew it was not his child.  The angel appeared and easily and thoroughly convinced Joseph that this was a supernatural conception indeed and that he should not hesitate to commit to Mary.  This was such an outstanding supernatural visitation and impartation of information that Joseph changed his mind instantly and sold his life out to the will of God in it.  

It is interesting to note from the life of Joseph that the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in dreams no less than three times. As a result, Joseph experienced all three types of dreams revealed in the Bible - dreams of guidance, dreams of warning and dreams of revelation.

Angels knew when and where Jesus had been birthed.  They announced it to the shepherds. (Luke 2:8-16)  

Angels knew when it was time for Jesus to die, strengthening Him at Gethsemane. (Luke 22:43)  

The angels knew Jesus had risen.  They personally broke the good news to Mary Magdalene at the cemetery. (Matthew 28:6)  

Angels knew when Jesus was ascending back to Heaven.  They accompanied Him in it.  They even knew at that time that Jesus was going to come back in the clouds at a future date, in the same way He had just left in the clouds. They told this to Christ's disciples. (Acts 1:10-11) 

Peter, Paul and Jesus each had working relationships with angels who understood their needs and helped them time and again.  Every one of the Apostles had angelic visitations. (Acts 1:11; 5:18-20; 8:26-40; 12:1-11; 27:14-25)  

It is not strange for angels to know your needs, to help you with them, as well as to guide you and protect you. Nor would it be strange for an angel to appear to you. 

However, no one in the Bible who received angelic visitations prayed and asked for them.  We must not pray and ask for them or Satan will accommodate us.  To be forewarned is to be forearmed.  God is a very wise God and He knows whether you need angelic visitation or not.

I have had multiple angelic visitations and each one of them were Biblical, convincing and life-changing. I will share two of them here as they are connected with one another. 

On March 13 and 15, 2008, in Osterville, Massachusetts on Cape Cod, two different angels appeared to my wife, Barbara, and me.  On both occasions they came out of the east. (In the Bible judgment almost always comes from an easterly direction.) 

One angel came to reveal to us that a great calamity, great bitterness and judgment was coming to America because of her sinfulness and rejection of God’s Word.  That judgment has came to pass even as it was revealed to us.  It will continue to intensify unless and until America repents of her national sins of abortion, normalizing homosexuality and tampering with Israel's security. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

The second angel came to reveal that great judgment was coming upon Satan and demon powers in America and the world.  Multiple millions are soon to be released from Satan’s strong hold through a great worldwide spiritual awakening. 

Jesus Christ had already caught me up in the Spirit for forty-five minutes in February 2004, showing me this awakening and revealing to me that many Americans will repent and experience the greatest spiritual awakening in American history.  

The first part of our angelic visitation and revelation continues to prove out to this day. America is presently being stripped of power, wealth and sovereignty as a result of her disobedience to Almighty God. (Deuteronomy 8:17-20)

The second part of the visitation revelation will now prove out as well. (2 Corinthians 12:1)  

Those two angels came from the presence of Almighty God with full and absolute understanding of what they were here to do.  They came to reveal that great judgment was coming to America as well as to see to it that the judgment occurred according to the Laws of Sowing and Reaping.    

How did those angels know these things?  They knew because they had just come from the presence of God where this information was personally imparted to them.

Angels are in tune.  They are in tune with human beings emotionally because they are in tune with God Who is in tune with human beings emotionally.  

Angels are in tune to the world politically, economically, socially, financially and spiritually as well, because God is in tune with the world in all of these ways.  

Angels get their information directly from the Throne Room Media On Demand Centre.

Angels Study Their Human Assignments

“For He will give His angels especial charge over you, to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways of obedience and service.” (Psalm 91:11 Amplified)

The angels of God come to know you in all your ways by spending time observing you.  They study you.  They know what to expect from you by what they have learned about you.  They know what not to expect from you.  

They know whether you are prone to obedience or to disobedience. They know whether you are prone to respect or disrespect toward the things of God.  They know whether you are prone to submission or rebellion. They know whether you are a part-time Believer or a full-time Believer.  They know whether you respect God's appointed Pastoral leadership in your life or whether you have contempt for God's leaders.  

They come to know all these things about you by influence, environment and association in the same way they have come to know God by influence, environment and association.  

Personally, I believe the angels who watch us and study us in order to help us are the "Watcher Angels" of Daniel 4:13 and 23.

Some of the very same angels who helped Jesus while He was in the earth have possibly even helped some of us. No doubt they have.  What an encouraging thought!  

Could it be that the same angel who appeared to Joseph concerning Mary is the same angel that appeared to me concerning the 35 nations?  

Could it be the same angel who troubled the water in John chapter 5 and people were healed is the same angel who laid his hands on me and delivered me from drugs and alcohol?  

We report.  You decide.

Angels Are Not Omniscient

Omniscient means to know everything or to know all things.  

The angels of God do not know everything.  Only God knows everything.  One thing the angels do not know is how God was able to pull off our great salvation.  The Bible says to this day still they are desirous of obtaining greater knowledge of God's plan for man. (1 Peter 1:12)  The angels of God do not completely understand God's Plan of Redemption for the human race because they are not omniscient.  

Another thing the angels do not know is when Jesus will return.

“But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.” (Mark 13:32)

So we see that even though angels are represented as having superior intellect and wisdom, they are not all-knowing.  They cannot read the mind of any human being.  

Apparently they both understand and speak all Earthly and Heavenly languages as well.  

They also have great knowledge of God’s Word and recognize it when it is spoken because Psalm 103:20 and 21 says they obey it when it is spoken by humans.  Because the angels of God recognize it when it is being spoken by a human being, it is vitally important that all Believers learn the Word.  

Only when we know the Word can we actually place a demand on the Word in such a way that the angels of God can cause it to come to pass when they hear us pray it and speak it forth.

Angels Have Great Knowledge of Demonic Strategy

“And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” (Revelation 12:7-9)

Here in his vision, the Apostle John saw the angels of God readily defeating Satan and his fallen angels in combat.  The angels of God know how limited Satan and his fallen angels are.  They know what they can and cannot do.  They know what to expect from them and how to respond to it.  I call this devil-whipping knowledge.

Satan tried to stop Gabriel from coming to Daniel with God’s wisdom but he was not big enough to do so. Yes, it took some help from Michael, but they got the job done.  

“Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the Prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.” (Daniel 10:12-14)

The angels of God have seen it all, from the tactics used by Satan to get him thrown out of Heaven to the tactics he used in the Garden of Eden, the tactics he used Calvary and right on through to the tactics he continues to use today to keep man separated from God. They have seen it all and they know what to expect from one another, God, Satan, demons and man. 

Your angels are on the ready for you today and they are on the ready for Armageddon, as well. 

Isn’t it wonderful to know you have someone on your side who fully understands and who fully anticipates your enemies and someone who is easily able to do something about them?
