Be Free from Epilepsy
It’s Easier Than
You Think

“And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have
brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit; And wherever he takes
him, he tears him: and he foams, and gnashes with his teeth, and pines away…
and when he [the spirit] saw him [Jesus], straightway the spirit tare him;
and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.
“And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came
unto him? And he said, Of a child. And often it hath cast him into
the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any
thing, have compassion on us, and help us. Jesus said unto him, If
thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
“And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said
with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. …he [Jesus] rebuked
the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee,
come out of him, and enter no more into him. And the spirit cried,
and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; …Jesus took
him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.” (Mark 9:17-27)
One day Jesus
encountered the father of a young boy who had all the symptoms of
“epilepsy.” He would suddenly fall to the ground, foam at the mouth,
gnash with his teeth and then just as suddenly appear as if he had
died.
Apparently in this
boy’s case, a “dumb and deaf spirit” that also hindered his ability to both
hear and speak caused these symptoms. Jesus simply cast that spirit
out of the boy and his life was changed forever.
“Epilepsy” is
defined as “a neurological disorder with recurrent sensory disturbances,
loss of consciousness or convulsions; associated with abnormal electrical
activity in the brain.”
I don’t know everything
that can be known about epilepsy. Nor do I believe that all seizures
are the result of a human being tormented by “evil spirits” or
“demons.” However, quite often this is the case and these spirits can be cast out using the Powerful Name of Jesus. If Jesus did
it, all Believers who live right can do it.
Jesus said, “…the
works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do;
because I go unto my Father.” (John 14:12)
Do you suffer from
epileptic seizures that have doctors baffled? If so, you can be
free. Simply make Jesus the Lord of your
life. Say, “Jesus, You’re my choice.” (Romans 10:13)
This makes you a
member of God’s family, qualifying you for all family benefits. (Psalm
103:1-5; Deuteronomy 28:1-14; Galatians 3:13,14) This also gives you
authority over Satan and all evil spirits. (Luke 10:19,20)
You can address the
“spirit” of epilepsy and say, “Epilepsy, I thought I had to live with you
until now. Loose me and don’t return. I call myself healed, in Jesus’ Name.”
Now remember
this. After the seizures have stopped for a while, Satan is going to
try to hit you with fear.
He’ll say something like, “I can feel them coming on again. They’ll
probably hit me in the night while I’m sleeping.”
He uses pronouns so
you’ll think those are your thoughts. That’s to keep you off his
trail. Open your mouth and say, “Spirit of fear, I rebuke you.
I will not fear. Fear is the opposite of faith. I am a faith
person and you’ll obey me. Go, in Jesus’ Name.” It will leave.
(James 4:7)
Then keep yourself
filled with God’s healing Word. Keep yourself under a believing Pastor who knows how the Believer’s
authority works. Talk to him about the Holy Spirit Baptism.
It’s an experience subsequent to making Jesus your Savior – an experience
of supernatural, concentrated power that helps to keep all tormenting
spirits at bay. (Acts 1:8)
Read about the Holy Spirit Baptism on this website, if
you’d like. Make up your mind that one way or another you are going
to receive this concentrated power. It’s the added strength you need
to hold the spirit of epilepsy at bay.
