The
Glory of God on Cape Cod Deception
The
Red Letters Alone Say It All To The Wise & Discerning Heart
"And
have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove
(expose & rebuke) them. ... For it is a shame even to speak of those
things which are done of them in secret."
(Ephesians 5:11,12)
So
many
have reported having a "question down on the inside" about the
movement called The Glory of God on Cape Cod. Others have attended their meetings only to come away and describe, ".. a flat
feeling. Something wasn't right but I just couldn't put my finger on
it." While many others have questioned, "Why is it they come
together to pray so often and God just isn't answering their prayers?
Where's the Glory they promise will fall on Cape Cod through prayer and
unity?" Read on with purpose, Believer in Jesus, and you will
find your answer.
The Glory of God on
Cape Cod
is promoting the writings of Rhonda Hughey on their website.
Go to www.thegloryofgodoncapecod.com
and click on ‘Articles.’
Click on ‘Other Relevant Articles.’
There they strongly encourage all who desire to be involved with
their movement to become involved with the teachings of Miss Hughey.
She is the Founder and President of Prayer By Design Inc.
She serves on the senior leadership team at the Int’l House of
Prayer at Kansas City. She also spent a number of
years being mentored by George Otis, Jr., traveling with him extensively and
documenting his experiences with “Spiritual Mapping,” “Spiritual
Warfare,” and she does not renounce his teachings on “Moral
Government
Theology.”
Why
is it important that you know this?
Because as a Believer in Jesus Christ, you need to know that George
Otis, Jr. does not believe in the Lordship or the Blood of Jesus Christ and
Miss Hughey is an advocate of Mr. Otis.
She uses the principles of “prayer” learned from Mr. Otis and The
Glory of God on Cape Cod is promoting hers and Mr. Otis’ unbiblical
teaching on prayer, unity and universal transformation.
THESE
TEACHINGS DENY THE BLOOD AND THE LORDSHIP OF JESUS CHRIST.
The
following is a quote from Rhonda Hughey.
“I also work closely with
George Otis, Jr. as an International Transformation partner.
My burden is to connect the Prayer and Worship movement with the
Transformation movement because Transformation is all about Presence.
I also work closely with Youth With A
Mission
to take the message of intimacy, prayer and transformation and connect it to
the nations.” In this
quote Miss Hughey acknowledges her desire to take the unbiblical message of
“Transformation” and use it to poison the minds of the Christian youth
of the world. The “Transformation” movement promotes “God” on a universal
scale – not Jesus. This is
the problem with George Otis, Jr. and his “Moral Government Theology.”
This is the problem with Rhonda Hughey. THIS IS THE PROBLEM WITH THE
GLORY OF GOD ON CAPE COD MOVEMENT. IT'S A COUNTERFEIT TO THE REAL
MOVING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. THE HOLY SPIRIT ALWAYS EXALTS JESUS. (John
16:14)
Let’s
look at the basic teaching of “Moral
Government Theology.” It
teaches “God does not fulfill some
of His own prophecies. God
changes His mind and is not immutable. God
does not have sovereign control over earthly events.
God does not know His own future actions.
God does not know ahead of time the free decisions of human beings.
God’s foreknowledge is limited in the area of man’s free
decisions. Many of the things
God predicted never came true.”
(Quoted
from the Apologetics Index) Is this what you believe as a Christian? If not, you may want
to examine your involvement with The Glory of God on
Cape Cod
. You may find more information
about George Otis, Jr. and his group called “The Sentinel Group” at
their website, www.sentinelgroup.org. There
you will notice a very obvious absence of a statement of faith.
The Sentinel Group doesn’t
want you to know what they really believe – especially about their
rejection of the need for individuals to accept the Blood of Jesus.
Rhonda
Hughey openly supports Otis and his Sentinel Group. The Glory of God
on Cape Cod openly supports Rhonda Hughey.
When
visiting The Glory of God on Cape Cod website you will notice they
are a nameless, faceless website. No one is willing to take
responsibility for the false doctrines being deceitfully promoted. They use links
to the websites of the Pastors they are misleading to "identify"
themselves. This deceitfully shifts all responsibility for their error
to these sincere, yet sincerely wrong Pastors under the guise of "Well, I
just don't want to take all the glory." Bunk!
Where is the
true leadership? Who is the individual who founded and heads this
group? Who do the Pastors who support this group answer to
there? What is the founder's true vocation in life
and what qualifies that one to exercise authority over God's Pastors on Cape
Cod? Truth is, the founder is a layperson. Nowhere in Scripture
do God's appointed ministry leaders ever submit to laypersons in ministry
related matters. (see Acts 15:1-41; Ephesians 4:11-15) God's New
Testament church government is ignored by TGGCC. They have set up one
of their own.
Who authorizes what goes onto and
out of the website? Why do they regularly send out anonymous, disrespectful
e-mails challenging, even mocking the true Pastors and spiritual leaders on
Cape Cod who oppose them Biblically? Why do they refuse to put their
name or face on their website and e-mails?
Where
is the accountability? Who handles the money? Why do
they support Hughey and Otis? Why do they claim to believe
only in "...the
Holy, Catholic church" under "What We Believe" on their supposedly Evangelical /
Charismatic / Pentecostal, "unity" based
website? WHAT DO THEY REALLY BELIEVE? Like "The Global Day
of Prayer" group, they are really part of the Jesus rejecting Transformation Movement
and would rather you did not know it. Like The Sentinel Group
they, too, obviously have something to hide. Specifically,
"We don't really believe in Jesus' redemptive work like you do. But cheer up -
we kinda' believe in Him. We just don't go along with the Virgin Birth, the
shed Blood, man's sinful nature and a few other minor things like that. But
that shouldn't keep us from fellowshipping and praying together should
it?"
The
Bible says, " Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
(2 Cor. 6:14)
Let’s
look at “Spiritual Mapping.”
This is a term coined by George Otis, Jr. in 1991.
He refers to it as a tool for intelligent prayer aimed at opening
spiritually blind eyes to the Gospel. He
does not specify which “Gospel” he’s referring to but as you read on
further in this article, you will discover that he does not refer to the
Gospel of Jesus Christ in Whom he does not believe.
Rhonda Hughey backs Otis in his beliefs. The Glory of God on Cape Cod
backs Rhonda Hughey.
Otis
developed a 28-stage scale to determine the spiritual temperature of a
community. Once a community is
properly mapped, a corps of intercessors begins to petition “God” for a
visitation. In order for
“God” to answer these prayers a representative from the World Christian
Movement must have a “commitment” in the area.
The representative must own a burial plot, a home, have a job, etc.,
in order for God to work in that area. This,
of course, creates a problem of elitism.
This states, in essence, that God will respond to the intercessory
prayers of a community only if there is a member of the WCM present in that
community. This means the WCM
sees themselves and not Jesus as the Savior of mankind.
This is unbiblical, prideful and preposterous.
“Spiritual Mapping” is done to gather data on the beliefs of
people so the intercessors will “know” how to pray.
This immediately eliminates the need for the Holy Spirit.
Once the mapping is complete and a WCM representative is in place,
the “leaders” can then pray in “unity.”
Celebration of Unity.
George Otis, Jr. promoted the “Celebration of Unity” service held
on
September 30, 1990. Four thousand five hundred
Protestants gathered in
Washington
State
at the Kitsap Pavilion for a “Celebration of Unity” service.
Despite their disclaimers, it was very much an Ecumenical service,
with a great diversity of groups, including those who preach “a different
Gospel.” (Galatians 1:8,9) For
example, Rev. Richard Kroll, one of the speakers at the service, was the
clergyman of the Suquamish Community Congregational United Church of Christ.
Their statement of purpose says they “…welcome
and accept all people into worship, participation in Church life, full
membership and leadership…may include any sexual orientation.
In the vision of unity, wholeness, integrity, compassion and justice,
as a community of God’s people, we covenant to be open and affirming
[including]…lesbian and gay relationships, extended families, blended
families and nuclear families.”
During
this “Celebration of Unity” George Otis, Jr. signed a “Covenant of
Continuance” promising to join with the leaders in a long-term approach to
this type of spiritual change in their area. Rhonda Hughey desires to
spread these teachings of Otis around the world, particularly to the
Christian youth of the world. The Glory of God on Cape Cod strongly
promotes the teachings of Rhonda Hughey.
The Unbiblical Teachings
of George Otis, Jr.
George
Otis, Jr. does not believe in the core message of Christianity. Keep
in mind, Rhonda Hughey is a staunch supporter of Otis. The Glory of
God on Cape Cod is a staunch supporter of Rhonda Hughey. Otis denies
the atoning death of Jesus Christ to pay the wages for our sins, thereby
making it possible for us to be saved from the wrath of God over the wicked.
In lectures given in 1981 to Youth With A Mission in
Tacoma
,
WA
on “Moral Gov’t Theology,” he made the following statements in this
regard:
“God has put things
inside of us. He made us in many
ways like Himself. His truth is
deep within us and it will take our own basic understanding of what God is
like and what His principles are like... And then we’ll go into the Word
of God and really search the Scriptures. We’re going to come up with
concepts that are different than what are normally taught today in
theological circles. According
to this definition of forgiveness, that is the relaxation of a legitimate
claim, then it would be impossible for God to have, as one hymn put it,
‘paid the debt and forgave me all my sins.’”
(1981: Lecture 3)
“Christ has not redeemed
us by giving His life as a ransom for our sins in order that He might
release us … for God never kept man captive in sin … the truth is Christ
paid no man’s debt.”
(1981: Lecture 4)
“If
we accept the premise that Jesus literally purchased, that He literally
purchased our salvation with His Blood … and He paid the Father … then
this approach, first of all portrays God the Father as being vindictive and
blood-thirsty and totally incompatible with Biblical forgiveness.
It also presents another grave difficulty.
If Jesus literally paid for our sins with His Blood, and a paid debt
is no longer a debt, and He died for the sins of the whole world, then we
can only come to one conclusion and the theological word for that is ‘Universalism’
– which means that everybody will be saved.”
(1981: Lecture 4)
With
these statements George Otis, Jr. refutes clear Biblical pronouncements on
the redeeming of sinners through the redemptive death of Jesus Christ.
Rhonda Hughey agrees with Otis. The Glory of God on Cape Cod
openly encourages their followers to comply with the teachings of Hughey.
Contrary to what Otis teaches, Hughey condones and The Glory of God
on Cape Cod promotes, the Bible says, “In Him we have redemption through
His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.”
(Ephesians 1:17) “For you were
bought with a price…” (1Corinthians
6:20
) “…knowing that you were
not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless
conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious Blood
of Christ, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot.” (1Peter
1:18
,19)
In
his 1991 book, “The Last of the Giants: Lifting the Veil on Islam and the
End Time,” George Otis, Jr., continues to deny the notion of the sinful
nature of man. “Because
all human peoples belong to God initially by right of Fatherhood, Satan has
no automatic control over them. Unless
individuals give themselves over to the rulership of Satan willingly, they
will remain under the tender influence of the Holy Spirit.” This is an
outright denial of the depraved and sinful nature of man due to the Fall of
Adam. The Bible teaches that in
our unregenerate state we are “…without hope and without God in the
world.” (Ephesians 2:12) The
Bible also states we are all “…by nature the children of wrath…”
(Ephesians 2:3) But according to
Otis we have no sinful nature and the Apostle Paul is obviously confused.
Rhonda Hughey agrees with Otis, not Scripture. The Glory of God on
Cape Cod promotes Rhonda Hughey.
Small
wonder that Otis sees no need for Christ’s redemptive work on the Cross to
forgive our sins and to make provision for a new nature to all lost sinners
who turn to Him for salvation. (John 3:16) According to Otis all that is
necessary to liberate societies from the oppressive influence of Satan and
evil spirits is his brand of “spiritual warfare.”
Through “spiritual warfare” on behalf of the people of the world
they will turn to God in great numbers.
But, again, according to Otis the inherent sinful nature of people
does not need to be addressed through preaching or prayer because THEY DO
NOT HAVE ONE. Otis teaches that
territorial demonic strongholds are the only thing that keeps “sinless”
people from God. Remove these
territorial strongholds and society will embrace Christianity.
Rhonda Hughey, in her ignorance of Scripture, agrees. The Glory of God
on Cape Cod strongly promotes Hughey.
“The Marginalizing of
Jesus Christ.”
It is very conspicuous that Otis marginalizes Jesus by referring only
to “God” in general. Keep in mind, Rhonda Hughey strongly promotes
the teachings of Otis. The Glory of God on Cape Cod strongly promotes
Rhonda Hughey. Otis attributes
no spiritual attributes of Believers as being related to “Christ in us.”
(Colossians 1:27) He constantly
shies away from Jesus. In his
list of spiritual aids for protection he only briefly refers to the Lordship
of Jesus, obviously only to appease those who criticize him for his “Moral
Government Theology.” He sees
no need for the Cross or the power of the Blood.
Reader beware. Jesus
Christ and His redemptive work on the Cross is the central message of the
Bible.
There is no true
knowledge of God without Jesus Christ; there is no salvation and forgiveness
of sin without Him; there is no victory over Satan and his hoards without
Him; and there is no sanctification or genuine commitment to the cause of
Evangelism without Him. “For
in Him alone dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.” (Colossians
2:9)
“Extra Biblical
Revelations.”
Otis teaches and Rhonda Hughey agrees that God raises up special
Prophets and Apostles, revealing His secrets only to them.
In terms of these revelations they will guide His Church and take the
lead in establishing His Kingdom on Earth.
These leaders must be followed; otherwise, it is seen as rejecting
God’s will. However, the Bible
teaches that the whole counsel of God has already been revealed in the
Bible. There is no further
revelation necessary. The
Apostle Paul taught us that all who teach and preach otherwise are accursed.
(Galatians 1:8,9)
“Ecumenical
Unification of Churches.” Otis
teaches and Rhonda Hughey agrees that Ecumenical meetings of all Christian
Churches
are a pre-condition for the mobilization of spiritual strength and the
reclaiming of cities and regions for “God.” Without this type of
Ecumenical unity there can be no victory in the struggle against evil.
However, the Bible teaches that the true Church
of
Jesus Christ
is already spiritually united.
It
does not require Ecumenical actions to demonstrate its unity.
Ecumenical groups almost always invariably sacrifice the teachings of
God’s Word, the Foundational Doctrines of Christ and are therefore severe
compromisers who appear outwardly to be united but are not united at all.
They
refer to sin as "...our differences which must be set aside for
the sake of unity."
Strife and elitism are also
commonly present behind the scenes of
these Ecumenical groups and meetings. The
Glory of God on Cape Cod movement is no exception. Some Christian
Pastors openly express having been deceitfully rejected by them. One Pastor told this
author he was asked to leave their prayer service because he was
"...not one of them." Another of their leaders, a Pastor and
a chaplain at a local Christian elementary school, actually wrote to this
author expressing his absolute hatred and distain for the author's
"evil" character having heard of his positions on the Word of God
and truth telling. The author was instructed to "stay away"
from the chaplain and encouraged to repent for his "evil "
nature. No small wonder TGGCC sees absolutely no results. Faith
works by love, not religious hatred, jealousy and disdain. (Galatians 5:6)
The
author of this article also had a July 2007 Sunday morning Hyannis Holiday
Inn service interrupted by two other self-proclaimed "leaders" from the
The Glory of God on Cape Cod Movement. These two self-appointed
"Pastors" began shouting untruths about the author, passing out
falsified documents and pleading with his congregants to leave the service
immediately - while the author was preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Some
attendees actually fled in fear and confusion, never to
return. Is this unity? Is this a setting aside of differences?
These
TGGCC "leaders" then proceeded to the Barnstable Police Dept.
where they lodged the same falsified complaints. There they were told
their behavior in that service was not only illegal but immoral and jealousy
based. They were told they would be arrested if they disturbed the
peace of Barnstable County in that manner again. The author was asked
by the BPD if he would like to file charges and declined. When the
author lodged a grievance with TGGCC thru the only available means - their
nameless, faceless website - he was ignored. Talk about
"unity." They can consider themselves forgiven by this
Minister of the true Gospel of love. What happens between them and the
God of Justice Whom he serves now is another story altogether. (Matthew
5:22-26; Romans 12:19)
“Position During
Intercessory Prayer.”
In his “spiritual mapping” lessons, Otis says the following about
intercessory prayer. “Intercession also involves the act of standing between the object of
prayer and the spiritual forces. In
the case of the devil it is to deflect his attacks.”
This, too, is a dangerous, unbiblical position since it suggests that
the power emanates from the person who is praying not from Jesus.
True Believers in Jesus Christ indeed have authority over Satan and
demon powers. (James 4:7; Luke 10:19,20)
However, Otis and his appointed leaders regard themselves as
specially anointed persons with supreme authority over the forces of
darkness in and of themselves. They
obviously do not realize the risks they are taking in confronting evil from
this unbiblical position. (Acts 19:13-16)
It’s no small wonder Satan does not obey them and their efforts are
unfruitful.
“The Coming of the
Kingdom.”
The theology of George Otis, Jr. also constitutes another version of
“Kingdom Now” theology – also referred to as “Dominion Theology”
and “Reconstructionism.” It
teaches that the Kingdom
of
God
must manifest now – before the coming of the King
– and for that to
happen, the kingdom
of
Satan
must be stripped of its power and strongholds.
Great revivals will then follow, accompanied by signs and wonders,
and whole societies will be radically transformed to function as great
Christian communities. Great men
of God will appear on the scene to lead this “transformation process” to
its goal of peace and world unity. They
will practice the dominion granted to Adam and prepare the world for the
coming of the King. No provision
is made for the judgments of the coming Great Tribulation Period.
However,
according to true Biblical Eschatology, the whole world is already headed
for the hour of darkness during the coming Day of the Lord.
False christs and false prophets will prepare the way for the
appearing of the universal false prophet and the anti-christ.
Their coming will be according to the working of Satan, with all
power, signs, and lying wonders. (2Thessalonians
2:9) The Bible teaches that in
the last days perilous times will come, not peace and world “unity.”
(2Timothy 3:1-5) The Bible
teaches the last days will be a period of great apostasy when many people
will be deceived. Sin and
wickedness will proliferate and even the love of many Christians will wax
cold. This situation will only
change AFTER the coming of King Jesus and not BEFORE, when all people on
Earth will serve Him and rejoice in His Kingdom of Righteousness.
(Revelation 11:15) George Otis,
Jr. and his supporters flatly deny these Biblical teachings. Keep
in mind, Rhonda Hughey has a “burden” to become more involved with Otis.
Rhonda Hughey is being strongly promoted by The Glory of God on Cape
Cod Movement.
CONCLUSION:
The unbiblical theology taught by George Otis, Jr. and under-girded
by the efforts of Rhonda Hughey and The Glory of God on Cape Cod are widely accepted and welcomed in
“Kingdom Now” circles rendering them very popular spiritual leaders
amongst those who are ignorant of the Foundational Doctrines of Christ.
However, there is also growing antagonism against these false
teachers because their overblown claims of total transformation which
allegedly occurred in a number of cities are not able to be substantiated by
facts.
In other words, the
claims of city-wide transformation are proving to be untrue. It
is clear that these individuals are deceiving both Evangelical and
Pentecostal Christians into believing false doctrines and exaggerated
statements about alleged revivals in various parts of the world.
Their unbiblical methods and teachings do not work and only lead to
the undermining and destruction of the faith of well-meaning people.
It reflects badly on local Pastors who are already working under
difficult circumstances as they are obviously unable to “pull down”
these enemy strongholds and bring change.
“The Pulling Down of
Spiritual Strongholds”
was equally as popular and ineffective in the 1980’s as it is today.
It’s recycled spiritual trash. Scores of efforts by groups leasing
aircraft, riding elevators to the top of high rises, climbing to
mountaintops, attempting to oust the devil from countries such as Russia,
Turkey and China or from cities such as Jerusalem, Boston, Washington,
London and Cape Town have met with nothing but defeat and public
humiliation.
“Prayer-Walks”
where Believers walk through their community, shaking their fists at the
demonic strongholds, commanding them to come down, yet never bothering to witness to
the lost bring further shame and humiliation.
Those who do these things stand to lose their credibility. Many
Pastors and professional people already have. Many have become angry
with God as a result of the lack of effectiveness of these false teachings
when God is not guilty.
The
Bible teaches that Satan has already been defeated by Jesus.
“And having spoiled principalities and powers, He made a shew of
them openly, triumphing over them in it.” (Colossians 2:15)
“For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood,
He (Jesus) also Himself likewise took part of the same; that through death
He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is the devil, and
deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to
bondage.” (Hebrews 2:14,15) “For
this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works
of the devil.” (1John 3:8)
It
is not necessary for Believers to redo what Christ has already done.
Christ has already destroyed Satan and evil spirits.
He did not teach us to do “spiritual warfare” with Satan and his
cohorts. He taught us to bind
Satan in whatever areas God has led us to work in. (Matthew 18:18)
Once we have bound him we
are to simply & confidently go about the business of fulfilling the
Great Commission by preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, praying for the
sick and casting out unclean spirits whenever necessary on an individual
basis. (Mark 16:15-20)
The
Lord Jesus promises to work with us with signs following.
Jesus didn’t pull down strongholds or do spiritual warfare while He
was in the Earth. Neither did
the Apostle Paul or Peter or any of the other Disciples.
Why are you doing it? You
have no Biblical precedent.
All
Believers should believe in unity, yes, definitely.
However, unity should NEVER come at the expense of the Blood of
Jesus, moral issues, our youth or sound Biblical doctrine.
Many
are being misled by The Glory of God on Cape Cod Movement and other
movements similar to it. On the
surface the worldwide “Transformation Movement” appears to be innocent
enough, particularly because of its mantra of “unity.”
However, when examined more closely the teachings of George Otis, Jr.
and Rhonda Hughey, more commonly known as
“Universalism,”
are always at the root. They
throw a little Scripture in there to appeal to Christians but upon
investigation their use of Scripture is nothing more than bait. They
don’t believe in the need for individuals to accept Jesus or His Blood.
They believe that through Jesus all people will ultimately be saved - whether
they accept Him or not!
That's why it's called
"Universalism."
Click on that deceitful little blue word for more information. This is
what TGGCC is doing by referring to the "Deity of Jesus"
under point #3 of "What We Believe" on their deceptive
website. They're trying to fool you into believing they are a
Christian organization when at their roots they simply are not.
Someone
once asked the question, “How do you poison a really smart dog?”
Answer: “Take some
strong poison and wrap it in a really good piece of meat.
He’ll gobble it down every time and die.”
The poison of “Universalism”
is being wrapped in the meat of God’s Word and flavorfully seasoned
thru the calculated use of Jesus' Name to get you to gobble it down without
investigation and die. This is what
TGGCC has done on their website right here on Cape Cod. Go online and study Rhonda
Hughey and George Otis, Jr. for yourself.
Then ask yourself, "Why does TGGCC insist on endorsing these
people?" You already know the answer. Will you gobble
down their sumptuously prepared false doctrine and die or will you reject
it for the truth and live?
Have
you ever noticed you cannot become Born Again anywhere on the TGGCC website?
There is no "Sinner's Prayer" to pray. There is no place
encouraging sinners to confess their sins and to ASK Jesus to become their
Savior according to Romans 10:9,10. Why? Because they foolishly believe that Jesus already
IS everyone's Savior - accept Him
or not! That's why they say under point #4 of "What We
Believe" on their website, "We believe that for the salvation
of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely
essential.'" Sure they do. And they believe that has
already happened -- FOR EVERYONE WHETHER THEY ASK CHRIST TO BE
THEIR SAVIOR OR NOT! That's the little trick of Universalism. Is
this what you believe as a Pastor and as a Christian?
Someone
else asked another question,
“Do you know why deceived people don’t know
they’re deceived?” Answer:
“Because they’re deceived.”
If you’ve been deceived and misled by The Glory of God on
Cape Cod
and the teachings of Hughey, Otis and Universalism simply repent and God will restore
you. Then walk away from the
counterfeit. The fact there is a
counterfeit out there simply indicates that the real McCoy is out there,
too.
God’s
Spirit is about to be poured out on Cape Cod but not through the teachings
of Rhonda Hughey, George Otis, Jr. and those who prop them up such as The
Glory of God on Cape Cod.
It will only come through the proper preaching and teaching of
God’s precious Holy written Word. It
will come only when Jesus is properly preached and not Universalism.
Let’s get back to the proper preaching and teaching of the Gospel
of Jesus Christ. It’s the only
thing Almighty God promised to confirm with signs, wonders & miracles.
(Mk.16:15-20)
Anyone
who wants to be a true spiritual warrior can get back on track by taking the
following steps. Preach and
teach the Gospel and the Blood of Christ militantly. (Romans 1:16)
Stop being slothful and start showing up in Church militantly.
(Hebrews 10:25) Love and forgive
militantly. (Mark
11:25
; 1John
4:15
-18) Pray militantly for
political and spiritual leaders, laborers to the harvest field and the
Nation of Israel. (1Timothy 2:1-6; Matthew 9:37-38; Psalm 122:6-9)
Enforce Satan’s defeat simply and militantly. (Matthew 12:29-30;
Matthew 18:18; James 4:7) Pay
your tithes and offerings militantly. Your
Pastor can’t make it without them. (Malachi 3:8-11; Hebrews 7:8)
Repent militantly when you know you’ve done something wrong and are
grieving the Spirit of God. (Proverbs 28:13; 1John 1:9)
These
are all signs of true spiritual warriors.
These are all signs of the Church Triumphant. Only a fool would
ignore all of the above and still consider himself to be a spiritual warrior
by “pulling down” demonic principalities and powers who have a right to
be where they are until Jesus and His Angel come to lock them in the pit.
(Revelation 20:1-15)
“The
wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.”
(Proverbs 3:35)
Don't
allow yourself to be deceived by those who use buzz words such as
"unity" and "transformation" to disguise the fact that
they see no need for individuals accepting the Blood of Jesus. As Christians our fellowship
is in the Blood and in the Blood alone.
The
Message Bible says “…what do you think will happen if you turn on
God’s Son, spit on the sacrifice that made you whole, and insult this most
Gracious Spirit? This is no
light matter. God has warned us
that He will hold us to account and make us pay. He was quite explicit:
‘Vengeance is Mine, and I won’t overlook a thing,’ and, ‘God will
judge His people.’ Nobody’s
getting by with anything, believe me.” (Hebrews 10:29-31)
There’s
only one thing “The Glory of God on Cape Cod” movement can do to be
restored to a position of respect and trust amongst the Believers on Cape
Cod and the Islands. Produce a
publication and a DVD openly and boldly renouncing the teachings of Rhonda Hughey, George
Otis, Jr. and the unbiblical doctrines of “Transformation” and
“Universalism.” They must mail it
to everyone on their mailing list and run the DVD repeatedly on local access
television even as they did their misleading DVD. They must
remove every reference to Hughey, Otis and Universalism from their website, printed and video
materials.
They must apologize
publicly for their deliberately misleading and deliberately confusing
deception and begin immediately to deliberately promote the Lordship
and the saving Blood of Jesus Christ – the only Savior of mankind.
They must do it in a straight forward manner, explaining that one must
directly accept Jesus as their Savior according to Romans 10:9,10 &13.
They must explain the need to be Born Again according Jesus' explanation in
John chapter three. They must make it clearer than clear that all who
reject Jesus' sacrifice will go to Hell, as Jesus taught in Matthew chapter
twelve, not Heaven as the Universalists teach.
They
must also find a way to reimburse those of you who gave them money to
promote their false doctrine. Those of you who have had the blinders
removed by reading this article must withstand them in every possible way,
according to Luke 17:3,4 and Ephesians 5:11. Talk to your Pastor if
he's been involved with them. Ask him to read this article.
Now
you know what that knot in your gut is concerning TGGCC. Now you know
why you had all those questions. Now you know why you never really
were comfortable with TGGCC in spite of all the carnal hype. It's the Holy Spirit giving you His
red light about proceeding any further with them. Don't run that
light. Satan's semi-truck is coming the other way and headed
right for you!
“...
if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
(Romans 10:9-10)
