The New Age
It’s
Just Old Lies

One of the first
signs of maturity I look for in people is their willingness to be corrected
when wrong. Many people are “teachable” in that they thirst for
knowledge. However, not all people are “correctable” meaning that
they are willing to acknowledge when they’re wrong.
The Bible says that
people who hate correction are “stupid.” Many people are being just
plain “stupid” when it comes to “New Age” teachings. They don’t care
that the Bible forbids their belief system. It’s a belief system of
convenience and they’re not open to correction. How about you?
Are you an uncorrectable “New Ager”?
New Age
“Spirituality,” simply put, is just another man-centered rejection of God’s Plan of Redemption through Jesus Christ.
(2Corinthians 5:17,21) The “New
Age” might sound hip to the unsuspecting and uneducated. However, it is nothing more than a
confusing mish-mash of concepts taken from Hinduism and Buddhism, along
with other make-believe disciplines, combined with occult
practices that developed in Western Europe in past
centuries. All of these ancient deceptions came right out of the mind
of Satan, the “Father of Lies.” (John
8:44) The “New Age” has simply reintroduced these aged, ancient lies
in more contemporary packaging such as movies, computer games,
Transpersonal Education, “Divinity Within” business seminars, etc.
These are all deliberately designed to alter and distort the Biblical
belief and value system of Christianity.
The foundational
New Age belief is in a Universal “oneness,” called “Monism.” This
teaches that everything in the world – rocks, trees, animals, people – all
share a Universal “energy” which can be called “God,” “Energy,” the
“Force,” etc.
A second basic belief
is that this Universal “energy” is Divine. Therefore, rocks, trees,
animals and humans are all “God” in disguise.
A third basic
belief is that people need to be “transformed to higher consciousness” so
they can realize their own “Divinity.” Practices such as Yoga,
meditative chanting, spirit guides and crystals “help” to achieve this
non-existent state of higher consciousness.
Many formerly
Christian organizations such as the “YMCA” have opened their doors to these
“Doctrines of Demons” (1Timothy 4:1) in a desperate attempt to draw new
members. God is no longer blessing the Christian organizations that
do such things.
A fourth basic
belief is that all religions are one at their basic core. Jesus,
Buddha, Krishna, etc., are all the same – simply Divine
men who were in tune with the “oneness” of all things. In the West
where Jesus is popular, the New Age calls oneness “Christ-consciousness” in
order to attract unsuspecting Christians into their cult.
These prideful,
demonic, Bible-rejecting beliefs have permeated our society.
“Oneness” became popular in the Star Wars Trilogy. It’s called “The
Force.” Other movies such as “The Dark Crystal,” “Willow” and
“Indiana Jones” center on these demonic beliefs, as well. Popular TV
Talk Shows absolutely thrive on these Doctrines of Demons, as well.
Children are now being taught New Age meditation in some schools.
Popular holistic “therapies” claim to balance the body’s “energy”
flow through “Chakra” points. The sale of occult objects and
literature, particularly ones that deny Christ’s Divinity, portraying Him
only as a man of “oneness” are big, big business. It’s a big, big
SCAM!
There is no harmony between New Age lies and
Bible Truths. The God of the Bible is separate and distinct from His Creation.
(Genesis 1 & 2) God alone is God. (Isaiah 45:5,6) He offers
power and Eternal Life, not “energy.” Man’s problem is not
“ignorance of his divinity.” Man’s problem is sin.
(Romans 3:23) “Personal Transformation” comes only by repentance for sin. (Luke 13:3) “Global
Transformation” will come the same way. (Matthew 28:19) All religions
are not the same.
Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth and
the Life: no man cometh to the Father, but by Me.” (John 14:6)
Say, “Jesus, I choose You”
to initiate your transformation. (Romans 10:13) DON’T BE STUPID! The “New Age” is just “Old Lies.”
