You're
Gonna Get It!
And I’m Not
Kidding!

"And this is the
confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to
His will, He hears us: And if we know that He hears us, whatsoever we ask,
we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.” (1 John 5:14-15)
The Bible says that we
can ask God for anything according to His will and He will hear us.
The Bible also says if we are confident that He hears us, we will receive
what we’re asking from Him.
However, there is a key
to all of this. That key is in asking “according to His will.”
Someone asked, “How can
I know if I’m asking according to His will or not?”
Easy. Learn
the Bible. The Bible is the written will of God. To know the
Bible is to know God’s will.
TO ASK ACCORDING TO
GOD’S WILL IS TO ASK ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE.
“If ye abide in me, and
my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be
done unto you.” (John 15:7)
These are the words of
Jesus. He said when God’s Word abides in us then we will know what is
and what is not His will. This really
simplifies things.
This means that when we have a need, we can go to
the Bible and find out what God has agreed to do about it.
When we
find what He’s agreed to do, we can bring His promise to Him in
prayer. That’s when we can know He is hearing us. His ears are
always open to what He has promised.
For example, if I have a
financial need, I will go to Philippians 4:19, which reads,
“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory
by Christ Jesus.”
I now know what God has
agreed to do about my need by this verse from His Word. I then go to
Him with that promise and pray, “Father, according to Philippians 4:19,
I ask You to meet this financial need, in Jesus’ Name.” (John 16:23)
I am always confident He hears me because I always ask according to His
written Word. The Bible says because He hears me, I will now receive
what I’ve asked of Him.
Why did He hear me? BECAUSE HE WAS
LISTENING FOR HIS WORD.
So, in essence, I receive the petitions I
desire because I remind Him of His Word. Simple stuff!
This will work to get
your family saved because His written Word promises it! (Acts 2:39;
16:31)
This will work to get
your sick body healed because
His written Word promises it! (1Peter 2:24)
This will work in every
realm of your existence as long as you can find Scripture that promises to
meet your need. This is why we need Pastors and Teachers. Their job is to show
us what God has and has not agreed to do in His Word.
Oh, yes! Let me
make this point perfectly clear.
This prayer principle will only work
for those who have said aloud, “Jesus, You’re my choice.”
(Romans 10:13)
Once you’ve said that, you are in God’s Forever Family.
(John 1:12)
Once you’re in the family, you can pray with great expectation.
If you have a need and
you don't know what the Bible says about it, ask your Pastor to show
you. If perchance he's unable to help you in a certain area, let me
know if I can help you.
I'll be glad to respond to you with what God
says in His Word concerning your need. But go to your Pastor
first. He probably knows the answer and God told you to submit to him
as your Spiritual leader. Honor your Pastor and ask him to help
you.
Whatever you need, go to
the Word, find God’s promise and it’s guaranteed ...
